Cravings and Taste Changes

When you are pregnant, you may find that foods you normally enjoy taste different - or that you don't feel like eating them at all. Similarly, you may find yourself craving foods that you would normally never touch.

Unless these cravings and aversions are excessive and prevent you from eating a varied and nutritious diet, there's nothing to worry about. If you have cravings to eat non-food items, such as toothpaste or charcoal, for example, consult your doctor or clinic. It's much more common than you might think, and they are sure to be understanding.
